Correct operation steps for inflating & deflating dunnage air bags inside shipping containers
1. Pre-inspect empty space and goods. Measure the gap between palletized goods. Remove any sharp items that could tear the bag. Center the dunnage air bag within the gap.
2. Get the bag positioned right. Match the height: the bag top should be as high as or slightly above the cargo. Avoid direct contact with floor pallet sharp corners; use protection sheets if you have to put it on the floor.
3. Attach your air filling device. Secure the inflation gun or air hose onto the bag valve. Adjust your air compressor to meet the PSI limit suggested by the supplier.
4. Fill air to the suitable pressure. Watch the pressure gauge. Stop inflating once the bag fills the space firmly and holds cargo steady against container walls. It should feel taut, without bulging over the gap.
5. Deflate upon arrival. When you arrive at destination and prepare unloading, open the valve cap or activate the release switch for fast air release.
6. Fold and store after use. If your air bag is reusable, fully exhaust all air. Roll or fold it gently, and store it in dry conditions. Confirm it is completely flat with no trapped air.
