- Check gaps and cargo condition before use. Measure the clearance between cargo pallets and clear away sharp edges, nails or protruding parts that may puncture the bag. Put the dunnage air bag in the center of the void space.
- Set the bag in the right position. Match the height properly. The top edge of the bag should be even with or a little higher than the cargo top. Do not lay the bag directly on the floor where sharp pallet corners can cut it unless you add a protective sheet.
- Hook up the inflation device. Use pneumatic tools. Firmly connect the inflator gun or air hose to the bag valve such as fast fill valve or safe inflator valve. Adjust the air compressor within the PSI limit suggested by the manufacturer.
- Inflate until reaching the advised pressure. Keep an eye on PSI value. Start air supply until the bag fills the gap tightly and holds cargo steady against container walls. Check that the bag feels taut and firm, without bulging out above the gap.
- Release air through the valve at destination for unloading. Take off the valve cap or press the release button to discharge air quickly.
- Fold and store the bag after deflation. Make sure all air escapes completely. Softly fold or roll up the reusable air bag and keep it in dry storage. Double check the bag lies fully flat with no trapped air before storage.
