Bolt seals are mechanisms used to seal and secure cargo containers, such as shipping containers, trucks, and trailers. These products provide tamper evidence in case of infringement. In this way, bolt seals help to detect cargo theft or contamination. These security seals have a relatively high breaking strength and therefore also provide an added layer of security.
These high-security Bolt Seals are designed for Intermodal container seal applications, comprising of an all-metal high-strength steel construction. The clip – the actual locking mechanism – is embedded in a groove in the metal bush, making the seals stronger and more difficult to tamper with. Requires bolt cutters for removal.

How to use a bolt seal?
These security seals can be applied without the use of tools. This is how you install a bolt seal.
- Insert the bolt in the trailer door or container door latch hole.
- Align the bolt and the bolt lock such that the unique serial part number is visible on both parts.
- Coordinate the bolt into the locking mechanism’s hole. Make sure that it is aligned correctly and insert the bolt loosely such that misalignment is avoided.
- After this push the bolt in the lock until it is snaps. Push and pull the bolt seal firmly to check if the bolt security seal is closed well.
