How Does a Push-Pull System Work with JahooPak Slip Sheets?
One of the most common questions we hear about JahooPak Slip Sheets is:
“If there is no wooden pallet, how do you move the cargo?”
The answer is a Push-Pull Attachment.
A Push-Pull system is installed on a forklift and allows operators to handle unit loads placed on Slip Sheets instead of traditional pallets.
How does it work?
1,Load the cargo
Products are stacked and secured on a Slip Sheet to create a stable unit load.
2,Grab the tab
The Push-Pull Attachment grips the extended lip or tab of the Slip Sheet.
3,Pull the load
The attachment pulls the Slip Sheet and cargo onto its load platform.
4,Transport the load
The forklift carries the unit load to the required location.
5,Push the load off
At the destination, the attachment pushes the cargo and Slip Sheet into position.
That’s it.
No wooden pallet is required.
Why use a Push-Pull System?
Reduce dependence on wooden pallets
Handle lightweight Slip Sheets efficiently
Improve container utilization
Optimize warehouse and loading operations
Potentially reduce pallet-related costs
However, a successful JahooPak Slip Sheet operation requires more than simply changing the packaging material.
JahooPak Slip Sheet dimensions, tab configuration, load weight, cargo stability, and Push-Pull Attachment all need to work together.
At JahooPak, we manufacture paper Slip Sheets with different dimensions, thicknesses, and tab configurations for various handling requirements.
